Ok my hair was sandy brown with pale blonde highlights. The winter came and i got tired of touching up my roots so i dyed it red. The beautician put the red color mostly on my roots so my hair was deep red at the roots, reddish brown in the middle and brown on the tip of my hair. Well i thought it looked stupid. So last night i died my hair black. After the process my hair was ultra thin (its thin already i have fine hair) and my ends are severely breaking off! I cant run my fingers through it or comb it. Its shedding terribly. Im so upset. I need you ladies help please. Should I use Regaine? Do i cut it? Or what? My hair is my life! Commentsregaine 01/19/2012 3:33pm
you need some major conditioning, hon. use a conditioner for strenghtening dry, brittle hair/damaged hair. be very gentle with the handling of it. while wet, use a wide-toothed comb to easily detangle. do not use a brush, hot styling tools or hot air from the blow dryer. don't use heavy styling products during this time; you'll find it hard to shampoo easily if you've loaded the hair with product.it is breaking off, not falling out. (which isn't any better) you will notice this for a couple weeks, sorry. but you must take excellent care to not pull, tangle,or put too much resistance on it, as that will cause hair that might be fragile-but not quite ready to break- to actually break.

first of all, you should complain to that hair colorist! why the hell did she apply so much to your roots?!? i'm not even a professional but i know that you apply an inch FROM the roots and then apply to the roots the last few minutes, because the heat from your scalp helps activate the dye AND it travels up the strands a slight bit. the damage to your hair is more than likely her fault.

See i knew she messed my hair up and i think she knew it too. I am so mad right now. I got a few different conditioners. One is JOICO K-Pak Moisture Intense Hydrator and the other is pantene beautiful lengths. I have some Redken but not much. I swear it feels like my hair will never be healthy again. I cant comb it or style it its way to fragile. Its chiseling and all ove the back of my blouse. I have oil on it right now and im gonna wrap it up and let it sit.
